Meet Rahma

Rahma Rebecca Hossain is the President of ISDHH – International Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She is deaf, has a Bachelors Fine Art from RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology), and possesses outstanding skills in Oral Communication, Lip Reading, ESL, ASL, Deaf/Mute, Deaf/Deaf and Deaf/Blind, Interpreting and Communications. She strives to create awareness, education and better understanding of deafness in our Muslim communities. Her vision is to build a platform for all the deaf people to find a voice to advocate for themselves by having American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters and to become leaders and ‘Scholars’ in our Muslim communities. Through her organization ISDHH, she is focusing on implementing her vision.
